The history of this land is deeply rooted. Viticulture in this region has been practiced since the 2nd century. a.C. ,  with the arrival of the Romans, who first planted vines. The age-old tradition, the unique clay-marl soil known as \u0026quot;ponca,\u0026quot; the numerous microclimates created by the winds of the Julian Alps, and the proximity to the Adriatic Sea make the Colli Orientali del Friuli region one of the most suitable in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
