The nose is intense and intriguing, featuring fruity notes of black cherry and blackcurrant, complemented by aromas of cocoa and coffee. The bouquet is rounded out by pleasant spicy notes and hints of boxwood. On the palate, it is enveloping, with soft, velvety tannins supported by excellent freshness and savory flavors.

Winemaking: The harvested grapes were destemmed and gently pressed, then transferred to special temperature-controlled tanks. Alcoholic fermentation was completed in 5-7 days. Controlled fermentation temperatures never exceeded 28°C for the Cabernet, Sangiovese, and Petit Verdot grapes, thus favoring the extraction of color and sweet tannins. For the Syrah and Merlot, temperatures never exceeded 25°C to preserve their aromatic components. Maceration lasted 8-12 days. Following malolactic fermentation in October and November, the wine was transferred to French and Hungarian oak barriques where it began its maturation process. Villa Antinori was bottled starting in July.

Drawing:

That drawing on the label, depicting Villa del Cigliano, symbolizes the concept of home, of territory, of Tuscany.The French have chateaux? Niccolò, Piero Antinori's father, wrote this when describing the birth of "Villa": "At that time, it was necessary to establish the Antinori name...which was still, except in a few circles, little known, so I proposed the name Villa Antinori." Villa del Cigliano, located among the rolling hills of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, in the province of Florence, has always been a place with family ties; it is here that generations of Antinoris have been born and lived since 1546, the year Alessandro di Niccolò Antinori became the owner of the building. Villa del Cigliano is the symbol of history, identity, and family continuity; it is here, in a certain sense, where everything began, where the Antinori family took its first steps in winemaking.Villa del Cigliano embodies the same values and sentiments born in 1928 with Niccolò Antinori and his "Villa." This is why it is featured on the label of Villa Antinori, the flagship wine of Casa Antinori. Throughout these years, in nearly a century of history, Villa Antinori has represented and continues to represent, through a contemporary style, the concept of home, of territory, of Tuscany. A wine born from a unique approach to winemaking: as experimentation and evolution on the one hand, and as a symbol of historical value on the other.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0401/6616/2598/files/RossoVillaAntinoriIGTAntinori_1f00317d-10a0-424a-a13e-f331b0c20b7d.png?v=1720099933
