He immediately made a professional and philosophical shift by studying and working exclusively with estate-grown grapes (\u0026quot;Estate Winery\u0026quot;). Focused on high-quality viticulture, modern yet respectful of the environment and tradition, he quickly produced a Vino Nobile of great depth and quality from his high-density vineyards. In pursuit of quality and excellence in his wines, Federico has continually innovated techniques both in the vineyard and in the cellar. In the 1990s, international varieties were planted, but at the same time, the quintessential local variety, Sangiovese, known in the Montepulciano area as \u0026quot;Prugnolo Gentile,\u0026quot; was studied and celebrated. Drawing on his extensive knowledge of the potential of the Montepulciano terroir, Federico, for nearly twenty years now, has focused on maximizing its exaltation and expression in his wines; allowing their unique character and naturalness to flourish.
