Those from the Vigna del Palo vineyard are vinified in open 500-liter tonneaux, while those from the small, half-hectare Pian di Fiora plot are vinified in handcrafted 500-liter terracotta jars. A long maceration of five months is followed by aging for 12-15 months in French barriques and at least 18 months in bottle.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eCharacteristics\u003c\/strong\u003e:  The bouquet is very rich and varied, with fruity aromas and complex secondary notes of spice, cocoa, and leather. Thus was born the project that has made the company a true pioneer of the Maremma. In 1982, the winery's first \u0026quot;official\u0026quot; label was released, a 1978 Morellino Riserva.
