But the irrepressible drive of their passion for wine changed everything. From the original 2 hectares of vineyard, cultivated with the utmost rigor from the very beginning and which placed Tua Rita among the first successful Italian experiences built on the \u0026quot;vin de garage\u0026quot; model, within the space of about ten years the vineyards grew to 9, then 20, at the beginning of the new millennium, and finally to the current 30 hectares of vineyards. This growth combined Rita and Virgilio's original and undiminished passion with an ever-growing awareness of the potential of that land, nestled between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Metalliferous Hills, known as the Val di Cornia. And while the agricultural and cellar management couldn't have progressed without the commitment of Rita and Virgilio, the image and marketing management couldn't have developed without the work of Stefano Frascolla, husband of Simena, the owners' daughter, who, after Virgilio's passing in 2010, also worked on the company's management.
